finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

february 8th 2014: it's complicated

i was listening to music in the morning and ideas for the show were going through my head. some of it just for things in the moment, but other stuff seemed like it could become a reality.

off to the gym and the post office. tomb raider came in and that was surprising. it was just sent on the 29th and usually those games take a while to arrive.

back at home i talked to tony while i waited to try to buy comic-con tickets. talking about antwawns music and digging up ghetto rainbow and the villain thievz. when i look at the latter of that now its so easy to see just how bad it really is.

fixing my wifi drivers on the ultrabook. the results seem to be what i want. id updated them based on the hardware and going to that vendors site. today i downgraded but went by what asus suggested. and a full reinstall before hand just to be safe. now to watch and see how it goes for a few days...

and then came comic-con day. it did not go well. perhaps i should have logged in later and used a different browser. perhaps coming from the uk was an issue too? it was an hour and a half after registration opened that i was able to get anything and at that point thursday and sunday was all available. i need to look into being in a group next time.

getting over that and going to play with ethan for a bit was interesting. we kicked things off around 8 or 8:30 and worked on a song for a solid 3 hours. being involved in the construction process helps me a lot. this way i could make up my bass parts as the song comes around. takings breaks to talk about various things and getting ideas together for the show. then more playing and eventually it was 3:30 in the morning so i called it a night.
