finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

april 18th, 2014: watch it crash

sill mentions something related to moving on to other things. brandon says not to worry because he wont be around long. his intentions were in the right place, but the way it came off was coldly awesome.

at a briefing thing and the bibb says how we're all type a people. apparently that man is an idiot or something.

the day sucked. there were so many people around. everywhere.

following a group to a group picture. they werent completely sure where they were going or where they needed to be, but i figured they were more sure that me. they werent. we almost got lost and werent even going in the right direction.

over to the walk. apparently that became a runish jog. i wasnt thrilled about that. nor dressed for that. and then lee massie wanted to 'finish strong' which led to my ipod falling out of my pocket and fighting a losing battle with the pavement. nothing about this day is ok.

the food guy at the bowling alley is a bit out of it and tells me how he was up all night finishing dark souls 2. then makes an offer to play with me if im on live. not sure how i feel about this.

taking a nap. dreaming about triple h giving me a skeletor figure with icp pants. weird.

guitar. ultimate warrior tribute show.

i put on transformers to have something to fall asleep to, but when i heard the rocks voice on the opening character enough was enough and it was time for a change. regular show. i did look up that transformers show and apparently he was only on that first episode. and briefly. oh well.

april 17th, 2014: that doesnt sound work related

brandon, paying me back for the concert tickets, hands me some money and says, "this isnt forty pounds. i spent some of it." the delivery made it pretty awesome.

looking up weight lifting gloves. mine are pretty old and i feel like they arent doing so much for my hands. according to brandon, with the right pair of gloves i could look like a high-class homelessman.

arts and crafts to pick up a rushed order for harts farewell thing

at work talking about bars. someone says they like the underground bars and i make a harriet tubman joke. she just doesnt get the recognition she deserves.

eventually works over and im at home.

finishing the night with a beyond the ring episode about triple h. i still feel like he got a bit lucky with his career playing out like it did. pulled into a group to be a designated driver. getting into the family running the business. itd be nice to see an alternate universe where one or neither of those things didnt happen

april 16th, 2014: that doesnt look work related

it was a bit more chilly during my ride than i expected. as it turns out it was only 32 degrees out.

hanging out with brandon and jed. talking about mottos for work. "damn dude..." "*shoulder shrug*"

id put on my punk-o-rama playlist for the morning and it ran from the time i left until exactly 11. usually thatd be a sign to go to lunch, but i had to do work stuff. that took its fair share of time, but that made it easy to justify leaving at 3:30.

leaving for norwich to see alkaline trio. jeds talking about how if we had sail cars thered be no traffic. wouldve been nice to have been able to test that as the traffic was awful.

the show made up for it though. all the bands were solid. i was up front for the bulk of the alkaline trio set. i stepped to the back during a song or two for a video and some pictures, but when 'time to waste' started i was right back to the front. it was the song that really got me into them and when it was over matt handed me his pick. it was a good night

april 15th, 2014: spokesmans and homelessmen

i woke up to an email from anthony to complete the b list. he lives by the three b's of bob dylan, bruce springsteen, and billy joel. him taking the time to do this is a pretty meaningful gesture.

downloading the new needtobreathe

talking to brandon about spokemans and homelessmen. perhaps we can get marky mark to be the spokes man for a6.

working out with the jov before heading into what came to be an unnecessarily long meeting. as usual i got caught off-guard with a question or two.

talking to salopez about academy stuff. he's really anxious about this whole thing.

riding home and beign mesmerized by watching the street fly by. and it was a surprise to see somebody cleared off the side walk by my home. all those little rocks and pebbles and debris were a bit unsettling for my rides home.

waiting on a call from the j man to play music that night. it didnt happen, but a nap did.

waking up around 9:30. listening to the new needtobreathe and looking into plane tickets for comic-con. it appears i may have gone a day short on my hotel reservation...ill have to look into that.

ending the night with a cat video.

april 14th, 2014: chessmaster lehosky

riding to work to do things before people start showing up. im most productive when people arent around and with a fair amount of things to do, this is pretty convenient.

id done some volunteer work at a school and email michelle about how it wasnt as cool as what we used to do. i figured she was done with talking to me after our last exchange. and maybe she was, but she finally replied. we ended up having a talk on the google chat thing. it was nice to catch up.

at the gym i worked out with older weight setups. i took the time to revisit viva voce. definitely good workout material.

back to work. dombrowski is complaining about people with glow sticks.

robo jr is coerced by robo sr into asking me for a day off for his birthday. of course i had to give him a hard time. in the end he had to battle chessmaster lehosky for his birthday day off. the stipulation being that if he lost, lehosky got the day off. it was a pretty all right series of events.

sticking around to play a bit of bass after work. i dont play nearly as much as i should. and i say that way more than i should.

on my way home i realized i forgot my phone on brandons desk. as i was passing my car on the way home i thought about going back for it. i figured id do that later.

once i get home and ready to go make the drive to work, i realize that i also left my id at work. this is going to be inconvenient.

riding to the bird in hand gate to see if i can be signed in. nope. riding to the main gate. getting signed in. riding over to my car. driving across the world to work. getting my things. driving back. riding home. not a good time.

watching tnt and realizing that i totally forgot about getting online to buy he-man stuff. ill have to keep my eye out goat man throughout the year. same for the spirit of hordak... the subscriptions have really made me pay less attention to things.

looking into new issues of comics. it seems that the cable and the x-force series ended with the hope/bishop storyline and now its just x-force.

calling keisha for her birthday. it was a nice little talk. i really would like to make my way out to iowa more often. theres another reason this england thing bothers me.
