finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

march 9th 2014: cant escape the jamming

waking up at 3something in the am. no call. immediately back to sleep. waking up at 6something. leaving to go home.

i parked on mildenhall to make my trip to work smoother later.

once i got home i looked into the gig tonight and parking and such. not long after that i realized i was still tired. sleep until around noon. the real noon this time.

to burger king for food. hanging out with the jed and ethan. to work for a little playing before people start to show up. while i was playing ethan stokes showed up and told me i couldnt escape the jam. and it was a good thing i couldnt because it seemed like something i needed in that moment.

work stuff.

leaving for ipswitch. it was a nice place and good to see people. and meet people. and be remembered by people. the music was nice too.

i had left my id card at work so i had to arrange to deal with that.

home. toast. twit and popcorn. a little big bang theory. sleep.

march 8th 2014:nothing beats a nice warm coke

while i was doing my weekend shopping i remembered that i wasnt going to do that this week. i have a decent amount of things that i need to get rid of. obviously it was a little late for that thought and i did actually need a few things...like plates.

i had more facebook stuff going on than usual because of that whole birthday thing. a decent amount of people had sent me messages so i took the time to respond to each one with something of thought. luckily people cant write on my wall or that wouldve been even more time consuming. luckily i had house of cards to keep me company.

i tried to make a reservation for prezzo's online, but couldnt so i called in to do that. then it was back to house of cards. quick phone calls to people for planning. more house of cards.

the 'beef' episode of chozen and nap.

off to newmarket with derrick. getting to the area of places tends to be getting easier, but getting to the actual place is still an issue. somewhere in there i held up traffic at a green light then went right into a dead end. eventually i was in the parking garage and paid off my time. then i saw that the garage would be locked at 7. of course it was about 6:30 at this point...moving the car outside. hoping for the best.

dinner at prezzo's was better than i expected. mostly because england food has been so unappealing. and the group worked out pretty well too. as matt austin pointed out we had some of the less talkative people and we'd end up with a few minutes of good conversation followed by silence. somewhere in there we learned that black people have a third leg muscle. quickness.

walking around the city a little. nobody was really going anywhere, just going. we ended up in a pub and hung out there with the 12 year olds and big bitches.

merging groups with some other people. venturing into the city around noon with them. that presented its own awkwardness later.

once we got to the last place i could see the night ending soon. and it did. loud noises. hot spaces. not for us...leaving with matt austin and waiting on a pick-up call later. talking about things i dont fully remember. william shelton came up...i remember that

overall it was a good night.

march 7th 2014: off to see the wizard

i had to work today because of coincidences or whatever, but itll balance out later.

work wasnt too bad though. mostly just commenting on things of the internet. id received an email about some joint something or other. im sure its too close to what im associated with now to be enjoyable though.

yesterday i had seen that chiodos would be playing today. it seemed like a decent birthday present for myself so i did that.

i didnt care at all for the drive down to stratford. its so far and not always really worth it. tonights show at the water rats wasnt bad. the opening band, coldrain, was definitely a favorite of the crowd and played pretty well. chiodos was as expected. no disappointments there. and i got to meet the grand wizard himself.

eventually i was back at home.

i learned to play the birthday song and recorded that real quick for abe. i called a few minutes after sending it and they happened to be right in the middle of watching it. apparently mom hadnt even checked her email for the day and had just started going through it.

after that i watched an episode of community. it wasnt too great.

march 6th 2014: one step forward, two stops back...

last night before i left work i sent out an email to get people together for a birthday thing. in a way i felt bad for not including everybody, but this is me...and thats just not something id be ok with. i had a few replies which meant that pretty much everybody had replied. so thats cool i guess.

work was more of that stuff from yesterday.

after work it was down to epping to get over to the dingwalls. the trip down was pretty painless. finding the venue was not. it was sandwiched between two buildings with signs for another place. it was a pretty nice place though and it seemed to be a good location.

the opening band, the hosts, were very solid. not super amazing, but really good with what they do. a very solid performance. fitz and the tantrums were good too. it didnt quite capture all the energy of their album, but it was still a fun time.

getting back caused its own problems too. those trains can be confusing...apparently ive gotten by solely on luck in the past. who knew. lots of back and forth.

home. sleep.

march 5th 2014: i need templates. asap!

today was a little better than yesterday. i only got bothered with things once and that only took up tenish minutes of my time.

i ran off for a little volunteer time today. that wasnt too bad. it wasnt as fun as times in the past though. not even close. a few moments stood out though.

henley: i like swimming because my grandparents have a pool

me: do they live in england or somewhere else

henley: somewhere else

*a brief silence. i cant complain...thats how i phrased the question*

henley: they are in mississippi.

and then some kid called me out after suspecting id never seen an 'n' before. kids...

then it was back to work. sitting. waiting. the j-man drank some mrs dash seasoning and that was pretty entertaining.

talking to brandon about furniture and computer stuff. playing around with that pedal...finally.

then home to watch new girl, a little tech news today aka tech news last week, and some wrestling. reliving survivor series 91 and royal rumble 98.

talking to mom

going to bed
