finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

february 27th 2014: so, i have aids?

i used the morning to take back my rental and pick up my car. it turns out the selespeed is bad. (typing this im somewhat surprised that chrome recognizes selespeed as a word). thats causing an oil leak into another oil thing and its like 1300 pounds to fix. no. to. that.

staying after work to play with the jed. talking about the upcoming show and practicing a few songs along with a little improv here and there.

we went to pasta night pretty late and go in for free. nice. we sat back talking about whatever and turknett showed up. somehow i ended up giving them my hiv story. that seems to go over pretty well every time.

hanging around talking about promoting and associated things until closing.

not a bad day.

february 26th 2014: back on my bs

sleep was so awful. it was a lot like my allergy problems from the summer. i took some pills. they were expired though so my expectations were low.

i did a work out because there have been times when that helped me get through all that. it seemed to help a little

another allergy medication. i seem to be running low on those...

eventually things came around and i got back to feeling 'normal.' and even managed a few of those fancy one-liners that i tend to do all right with.

tonight i had plans to go to a meetup...meeting? just in case i needed a fallback plan i found a show that was going on a mile or so away. not too shabby.

the meetup was fun, but i still left early because i wanted to catch the show. it was my first time at the bicycle club and it was pretty nice. kinda made me wish id gone to that drew holcomb show. i met some interesting people and bands so im definitely glad i went

the day really turned. total opposites. like night and day...

february 25th 2014: swack

well, the fitness test wasnt great. the measurement was a little off which is fine for me, but a potential issue for others. push ups and i arent as close friends as we used to be. sit ups are still the enemy. and running on that track was not ok. overall things went better than usual though. interesting.

a combination of all that left me with quite the headache later in the day. i tried to take in a bit of extra water and food as that's usually the fix, but it didnt take

leaving work on time to play borderlands...forgetting that i was supposed to do music with stokes. kinda felt bad about that.

borderlands wasnt as fun as usual thanks to the headache. fortunately we didnt have too much to do so that was a plus. we finished off tiny tina, hit 72, and even knocked out a perfectly timed high five over the internet.

after that i went to sleep. it was only just after 7, but it seemed like it was for the best.

february 24th 2014: im samannntha

skipping working out is sometimes just as relaxing as working out. so that was nice. and leaving work for a while to pick up a rental car was pretty nice too.

eventually the day was over. not a single significant thing happened.

borderlands with james graves. talking about adventure walks with strangers and then coming oh so close to finishing tiny tina. poorly time deaths do bad things for boss health bars. and being the final version of the boss really 'salts the wound'

punny

oatmeal and sleep at a decent hour. gotta run around in the morning...

february 23rd 2014: rip mabel

brushing up on scales. major and minor pentatonics. i thought i knew the minor, but apparently not. now i just have to play with them enough to get past using the formula and more into muscle memory.

watching a little of royal rumble '98. undertaker vs shawn michaels. watching those matches its so easy to see why i was into it back then. so much energy and character in the matches. seeing undertakers classic walking through punches without any hesitation...a nice reminder of things.

breakfast with the newest offerings from saves the day and afi.

watching midnight meat train. it feels a little odd to be watching a movie so early in the day.

a snickers and off to the gym. usually on my last ab workout before a test i do what i plan to do on test date. not this time.

home. shower. lying in bed. not for sleep. just to relax. and it was pretty nice. waking up and rockin' the kylie.

dinner with mr brooks. paying a parking ticket. buying shoes. learning of new shoes... looks like flyknits are the new hotness.

making my wrestling rounds leads to finding out that viscera died last week. its a strange feeling to think about how the things that were part of your growing up are dying off.

several months ago falling in reverse released fashionably late. i didnt like it at first and gave it a few plays over between then and the next months. i cant think of the last time i played it, but i put it on today. there are some good songs but its long and hard to get into. with the variety of songs it just doesnt quite flow. and this shy kidx remix. definitely not what you want for a close...or anywhere on the album for that matter
