february 11th 2014: whatever
it had been a while since i listened to 'the art of losing' so i started my day with that. it was perfectly timed and the album ended as i was going to work.
apparently we had been taking 'shortcuts' in the taclan class. this was news to me and really just doesnt make any sense. i mean, we were so behind...that just didnt seem like something a shortcut would do for you. anyways, the teacher got all worked up when i asked about it. i didnt care how we got to the end so i said, "whatever."
apparently that was just enough.
she got even more worked up and and started going on about people not wanting to be there and i think she wanted to kick me out of class. id be fine with that i think. walking out would be bad. being removed...that just seemed like the better of the two. eventually she realized that that's just me. i dont care about this. i dont care about most things. i care about whats important. how we build a taclan isnt one of those things.
it did get interesting later and i got to do some troubleshooting. couldnt pull it together though... the old tristan would have.
buying a yellowcard album and bass picks from amazon.co.uk. i dont like buying things from them, but i often get good deals on cd's there. and for speed its a worthwhile compromise
after work we had a "band" meeting so i could ask a question or two. really, one two-part question where the second part was dependent on the first answer. i expressed how theres a bit of inconsistency between what people seem to want so we should figure that out and get everybody to a point thats agreeable.
it went fairly well and in the end things are going to happen pretty much in the same way they did before, but less songs fronted by ethan. i didnt like having to pull out of the show because id agreed to the guy to do it, but the group wasnt feeling it so number wise we kinda had to. people doing things that they dont want to do is never ok
moving on from that to a jam session with ethan. he got what he wanted so he was happy. we played for a couple hours and talked about things.
at home i called mom and she went on about praise dancing and senility. it was a good time and i finished the night with some doritos chips and salsa. i also noticed that my tax return came in. it was an all right night
