finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

june 9th, 2017: its like chilis but more expensive

taking my time at the gym to get a full on back and bicep workout in. always a time consuming endeavor, but fridays seem good for that.

it dawned on me last night that the day was going to be pretty easy and sure enough it was. i was able to sit back and do a few minor things that have been overlooked for a while. so thats cool.

after a while i figured i could probably leave. it was still early though so i went to lunch and to make my rounds across the street first.

a new rise against came out today. as did a rancid. i got through the former before a nap interrupted things. i had an odd dream about being out near iceland with chris. we stopped at some restaurant that was like chilis, but not. the logo was the similar. the menu looked similar. but they had a limited selection of fries or a hamburger. and the it was crazy expensive.

grocery shopping. pizza. game 4...of 5. so thats how that went.

june 8th, 2017: you know what wont be on your plate?

social media manager. josh got a conversation going about some capcom social media job post. he and tony were kind of picking it apart, but their target points seemed valid to me. the one thing we all agreed on was that it wasnt much of a job for any of us.

work. things arent super terrible which is good. for the first time in a while i got to sit back and play some guitar for a bit. after tuning it of course.

over lunch i went back to the guys to talk about the new blink 182 video. matt skiba has a sliding door in his house. well, its really a bookshelf...but still. it seems pretty cool. that guys definitely made it.

from there i went straight to a meeting thing. then off to the gym.

home. catching up on a couple videos. studying. catching up on wrestling.

a couple emails back and forth with damien about collecting.

june 7th, 2017: are you routing a test page?

breaking out the 20 year anniversary foams. they fit pretty stiff out of the box. i guess its been a while since i broke in some foams because not long later they were feeling really good.

last night i spent a lot of time getting ready for briefing things. this morning it dawned on me that i dont do that until next week. so now suddenly a lot of my day is open. woo hoo. but since i did the work im going to tell people about it regardless.

the day was largely uneventful. a few people came by for a few different reasons. some were all worked up over war stuff. others about people overlooking opportunities to learn stuff. and probably some other stuff in there.

i was all set to just go home and be home, but then i remembered i hadnt done laundry so thats a problem. it also somewhat forced my hand on eating out again.

back at home. ordering tickets for two door cinema club. looks like itll be a sold out show so that kinda sucks.

taking a much needed nap until a crazy storm woke me up.

catching up on game 3.

today my devils rejects figures came in from mad dawg. dogg? not sure. anyways, those came in. and they look amazing up close. if you put some good out into the world sometimes it comes back around.

june 6th, 2017: all they get is my service number

i almost bought into an eastbay sale before remembering that i always get 20% off. and finish line almost got me on those blue orbits, but im thinking ill be able to pull off a decent price next month. there have to be restocks coming soon from failed orders and returns. and the overseas places are starting to be the go-to.

on the way out a bug ran inside. so i said no...with my foot. then in a slight paranoia i sprayed some raid on him and around the house. but when i came back to the scene of the crime he was gone. so now i guess i have to move? or maybe burn the place down? ill think about that later.

uneventful work stuff. the network was broken. that kinda threw off my sav stuff, but it came up and things got taken care of.

darell followed me back to work after lunch and killed some time talking about basketball and car stuff. somehow we got on the subject of tripping alarms:

me: ill sit there and not say anything. they ask a question and all they get is the service number.

off to the gym for a little run. it went pretty smooth today. that was a little unexpected, but its a good sign.

home. that bug is dead in the doorway so yay for that. food. borderlands. that took up a lot of my time. i should probably do that work stuff i need to do...

june 5th, 2017: innovator of buy-ins

first on the agenda is dealing with that new love release. i got on with customer service pretty quick and everything was cleared up.

theres a handful of tedious work to be done today. that seems to be the case more and more these days... but it gets me out of group activities so thats a plus.

but today did start with a bit of a win. brandon's cleared from his little trip and thats pretty all right. most of my time is spent doing stuff for other people and once in a while it makes me feel kinda good.

i got a little break from work to help out ol' darell again. and since im out i stopped at home for cereal and an episode of mike tyson mysteries.

stopping by work briefly before heading over to the gym. it was a little later than i cared for and just as populated. so that sucked. the workout was decent though.

my tracking number came in for the new loves so thats nice. but i also saw that eastbay had them on sale. at least its nice to know that if i had missed out i couldve went with a backup. and finishline had a full stock of the orbit blue vapors. ive done well with pulling back and just going for the things that jump out at me, but when they all come out and once that creates a problem.

in other purchase news, it looks like jumping on austin city limits early was a good idea because weekend one sold out. i kinda wonder what tipped the scales. my moneys on the holiday timing because the lineups are very much the same.

finishing off the night with my punk-0-rama playlist. those songs put my head in a better place. times were so much better 10-12 years ago. im still waiting for the day when i can say everything is alright.
