finding something to do

i dont have a lot going on. my time is mostly spent finding something to do...

april 3rd, 2014: leisure centers and lepers

starting the day with blaqk audio and alice in chains.

at work. talking to brandon to see if he can get me any info on other gyms. it was a pretty vague series of questions as is my usual way of doing things. as it turns out, around here those are called leisure centers. or centres. sill said that sounds like something for a retirement home. when he searched for one, thats pretty much what he found.

the subject changed to the upcoming barbecue for friday

robo: i gotta get crap for the barbecue

sill: we're eating crap?

me: oliver twist eats better than us

*laughs*

brandon finishes things with a pretty solid oliver twist impersonation.

later the conversation moved to leprosy. we looked it up on wikipedia and saw 'the guy that started leprosy' and a picture of infected hands. they looked like sausages. i revisited the tootsie roll joke from a few days back.

over lunch i made a card for brittenney. it was a rush job and came off as such. but itll serve its purpose.

back to work and more of nothing happened. somewhere in there i make a joke comparing roberts to malcolm x. overall not much of anything happened at work today.

tonight was dinner with brittenney at prezzos. it was a good time and kinda made me wish we'd started doing that earlier. we get along pretty well, but im not quite sure why. there isnt any real conversation usually, but i guess thats not a big surprise for me. i figured we would eat and walk around for a little while to kill time, but we ended up being in the restaurant for around 3 hours...

back at home i decided to call mom and talk to her for a while. olivia was with her and they were on their way to a church. mom went inside to do prayer stuff before dancing.

me (to olivia): are they praying that jesus show margaret the ways of rhythm?

fun times. a pretty solid day all around.

april 2nd, 2014: are you cool with the dragon?

tonight alive dominated my morning. from wake up through work out.

i started listening to the new used album at work. nothing really stood out excdpt for the love song. and its only because it was so bad.

sill asked me, the recently balded batman, about something. i forewent a cancer joke because they are in bad taste. chuckles and moving on. as it turns out we dont do a great job of keeping up with people things.

at some point i make a joke about me going to war with america and how the news wouldnt have a good picture of me to use.

roberts: so theyd use the picture of you in a skirt.

me: i took that one down. it was too sexy.

he laughed. but if only he knew...

to the commissary to pick up something for lunch. getting back with just enough time to cook, eat, and get to work for some briefing thing. i got to leave it early because the inspector guys showed up. in the end, they left without even speaking to me. fine by me...

after work i was doing my typical sit around and hang out thing and then i remembered i had to get to the arts and crafts place. i rushed over with enough time to look around for all the supplies i needed.

calling brittenny about plans for the evening and next day. home. power nap. g. gym.

i talked to katherine a bit more today. mostly after the gym. just to see what she was all about. it wasnt particularly interesting but it a good talk. mostly.

when i got home my shoulder was still killing me from attempted back handsprings. i hit it on the assist block and i knew immediately that it was done. however, i still had to support myself to finish the move. that didnt help. so when i got home, i iced it and made some cookies. and had a nice talk to mom.

eating cookies like a bad ass and off to bed.

april 1st, 2014: for...black reasons

kicking off the day with some wu-tang before heading to the gym

while cooling down i caught a rihanna video on the tv and thought to myself about how i feel like punching her in the face every time i see her. immediately i thought, "that must be how chris brown felt." heh.

at work lopez and robinson came by to chat. people are always surprised when i say im leaving in january. not sure why... they asked if id be extending and i gave a quick and solid, "no. im good..."

brandon comments how he got pretty hot at home last night and all he could think about was my molly comment.

sills headline of the day was about how a woman and child died on a beach. apparently they were walking and the tide came in. and thats it... odd.

me (to sill): ive been on the beach and that doesnt happen that quickly. and i have to pay attention to the tide...you know, for....black reasons.

he couldnt hold back laughing as he answered the phone. it was pretty awesome.

lunch with brittenny. i thought i was going to have to roll up my sleeves and get down to business, but no. her plaque came out very well. then it was off to the thai place for lunch.

back to work for an inspection thing about that binder. theres a game of chess going on and gardner turns around to look at me. i handed him some crackers and he turned back around. in that moment i had a realization

me (to garnder): thats why you dont leave. because i keep feeding you

it turned out to be funnier than i thought it would be. it wasnt meant as a joke, so much just a thought that happened to be spoken.

later hes giving money to robo and i make a comment about him making it rain on her. one of them mentions that shes married to which i say, "rain knows no bounds." i seem to be on a roll today.

still no sign of the inspection people. apparently they are 'on their way' depsite running late...

i hung out for a while after work. not for any particular reason. just talking to brandon. on my way out stokes was walking in and we setup some play time for that evening. first i went home to eat, watch archer, and look into new albums. the used. chiodos. kaiser chiefs. lacuna coil. busy day...

back at work i was talking to stokes about playing during the barbecue and how if we played long enough people would show up. we sat and played for a bit after that and brittenny walked in.

me (to stokes): told you...play long enough...people show up

home to watch tnt and talk to tony about homestar runner.

march 31st, 2014: did you pop a molly?

up early. very early. 4:30 early... starting the day with some nirvana.

the morning ride was pretty easy going. there was practically no wind and all and the temperature was decent. no rain either. not bad.

i skipped the morning workout and went straight to work to clean up some things id left out and finish up some work. and because monday workouts are no place for me.

austin was back at work now so thats nice. not because he really adds anything special to the work experience, i just like having people around that i like talking to. we ran off to the clothing store and popeyes for lunch. it wasnt at all like the last time. the loud lady wasnt around. nobody was really.

back at work. typical boredom, but some funny moments.

gardner: i'm sweating...

me: did you pop a molly?

subtle jokes are the best ones sometimes.

finally the day is about over...

roberts (looking over the end of day checklist): who's doing the end of day?

brittenny: why dont you do it? take the responsibility...

had that been anybody else it wouldnt have been nearly as funny. instead it probably wouldve been a condescending slap in the face.

after work, i went to the 'other' gym for a workout. it was awful. heat. everywhere. it made for a pretty bad workout. afterwards i took a bit of a walk around to cool off.

ending the night with some mutemath

march 30st, 2014: fagged by boy george

listening to the second part of bret harts talk is jericho interview. that man has one heck of a story.

listening to anti-flags 'people or the gun.' its not so great,, but maybe im just not in the mood for it.

making lunch and redeeming my last listening experience with jimmy eat worlds futures.

i finally got around to watching wrestlemania 13. not quite all of it, but the main parts. when i watch those old ppv's its always interesting to see who's still around and think about the why's behind that...

falling asleep to 'shudder' by bayside.

talking with tony about quotation marks and cars.

i went to play guitar and ran into ethan. he decided to go eat and then join me in fumbling through songs and sounds. it seemed like a decent idea, but failed miserably in execution. we ended up waiting for over an hour just to get food. food that wasnt even that great.

i had decided to ride out with stokes since we were going to the same place and would be going back to the same place. however, as that wasnt the case anymore and i just wanted to go home, thats what i did. i decided to just walk home and ride to work in the morning
